Beneficiaries Stories

Some of our Beneficiaries:

Note that all these are not fictional stories but real life stories of real life incidents of our beneficiaries, who have had to go through rough patches in their lives and are now under the guidance and tutelage of the Mummy Marho’s Foundation.

Miracle, Chidubem and Chidera

These 3, then 13, 14 and 17 respectively, were new in Lagos with the rugged and crude mindset of “I Won’t Allow Anyone to Chance Me” attitude, which has been addressed since joining the Foundation. Miracle was the fore runner of the siblings joining the Foundation, as she was the daring one who approached me that she wanted the Mummy Marho’s Foundation to send her and her siblings to school. I told her I will get back to her when we had space for them, but Miracle never gave up and her persistence paid off and not only did we enroll her but her brother Chidubem who is a genius with creating appliances from waste and her older sister who has a flare for languages were enrolled in our youth’s program. Today Miracle is studying to become an actress, Chidubem is studying to become an Automobile Engineer and Chidera is studying to become a Linguist.

The Jimoh Brothers

This would have been a sad story but all thanks to the good nature of community involvement, it has a happy ending. I met the Jimoh brothers through a widow in our community who was concerned as they all were not going to school and also no mother figure in their lives. The boys at young ages left Nigeria with their mother to the Republic of Benin, over the years their dad lost touch with them and all avenue to locate them proved abortive. He however gave up and continued with his life. In 2022, the dad learnt that his wife had passed on years ago and his children scattered to different cities and that was why he couldn’t locate them. The devastated and poor dad, took the bull by the horn and went in search of his boys. A year later he got them all back. Today Daniel (wants to become a basketballer), Samuel (studying to become an interior designer), Godwin (studying to become an iron welder) and Elijah (wants to be a robotic engineer) are all enrolled in our Foundation.

The Olajide Sisters

These sisters ages 5, 7 and 14 years, lost their dad in 2024 and were left to be catered for by their stay-at-home mum who had never worked all her marital life. The mum was thrown out of their abode and with no money, accommodation or livelihood; had to move in with her cousin who happened to be one of our volunteers. They are still undergoing therapy and counseling but have started to learn to integrate with the other children in the hub.

The Taofeek Sisters

Born to a young single mother. These sisters have to live in a harsh and unfriendly environment, but thanks to the wisdom of their mother, they were brought into our Foundation so they will not only be educated, but have a secured environment away from predators.

These and many more lives have been rescued and secured in the Mummy Marho’s Foundation’s Hub.
